From 'the site's down' text at 11pm to a task that fixes itself

The worst way to find out a client's site is down is a text message from the client. Here is how Site Health, automations and native WordPress sync turn a problem into a handled task before anyone has to panic.

There is a particular kind of message no agency wants to get. It arrives late, it is from a client, and it says some version of “is the site down?”.

By the time that text lands, three bad things have already happened. The site has been down for a while. The client noticed before you did. And now you are finding out about your own infrastructure from the person paying you to look after it.
