refund policy
A 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan, and fair terms after that. No small print games.
We want you to be happy with Coalface Tasks. If you are not, we would rather give your money back than have you stuck with something you do not use. This policy explains how refunds work, and it is more generous than the law requires.
1. 30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied with any paid plan, contact us within30 days of your payment and we will refund it in full. No forms, no reasons needed. This applies to your first payment whether you pay monthly, yearly or for three years up front.
2. Cancelling after 30 days
You can cancel at any time. When you cancel:
- you will not be billed again;
- you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for;
- we do not charge a fee for cancelling.
For monthly and yearly plans, once the 30-day window has passed we do not refund the current period, since you keep full access for the rest of it. If something has gone wrong on our side, get in touch and we will put it right.
3. Three-year prepaid plans
If you have paid for three years up front and cancel after the 30-day window, we will refund the unused whole years remaining on your plan. For example, cancel partway through the first year of a three-year plan and you can get up to two years back; cancel in the second year and you can get up to one year back. The year you are currently in is not refunded, since you keep access for the rest of it. Just email us and we will sort it out.
4. How refunds are processed
Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and refunds are normally issued back to your original payment method through Paddle. Paddle limits how far back an older payment can be refunded automatically. Where a refund we have agreed cannot be processed that way, we will arrange it with you directly. Refunds usually appear within a few working days, depending on your bank or card provider.
5. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects the rights you have under UK consumer law, including your right to cancel a digital service within the statutory cancellation period. Where the law gives you a stronger right than this policy, that right applies.
6. How to request a refund
Email us at privacy@coalfacetasks.com with the email address on your account. Tell us which plan and, if it helps, why. We will reply and get it moving.
